Another Half Marathon

My very good friends, Chris and Joy, ran their third half marathon of the year today. I can't believe it was a year ago when we went out to cheer on Joy and her friend Heather in the same run. Chris and Joy are like family to me so it remains very special to see them crossing the finish line. Congratulations you two! Now stop working out, looking so good and being so sexy! It's time to do some sitting around and eating doughnuts!

UPS finally delivered my special order yesterday. My something blue for the wedding. Aren't they cute?

Buddy

Buddy is beating the heat this summer by being the only Golden Retreiver on the block with a close shave. He is looking good in his red bandana and wagging tongue. Since he's eight years old, he proved to be a little more my speed for pet photography. It wasn't too hard to get him to sit, stay and say cheese for the camera. I'm sure he has a long career ahead of him in bandana and dog modeling.

Ava and Ethan

Meet the twins! We have been trying for quite some time to schedule this session. I met McKenzie almost a year ago when I did her maternity shoot. I have been waiting and waiting to meet these two adorable little babies. Wow! Jake and McKenzie, you have your hands full! I enjoyed our time together today. I hope these photos will make you smile as much as they made me smile!

Vicky came to see us this weekend. Jesse and I showed her our wedding venues in Old Town. And of course, she was kind enough to smile for me.

Just a few more

I had to post just two more pictures of Mandy's grandmother. Alzheimers has certainly changed her but i was able to capture this moment. It feels as though I am seeing her personality shine through as well as a childlike state of pure joy. Mandy, she's a wonderful woman.

Mandy, I enjoyed your grandmother very much. I got the feeling that even though I had never met her before, that I was experiencing glimpses of an amazing woman and a life well lived. God bless you and your family during this strange and sometimes funny time.

The One and Only Secret

This is the real reason I ever get a dog to look at me with those inquisitive eyes that say, "what?"... dog treats! Do they have to be Alpo? Heck no! Any run of the mill dog treat will do. Sometimes just the mention of the word, treat, will get a reaction. I'm pretty sure my own dogs would make that adorable face if I held lettuce up in front of them.

So thanks to you, inventor of the dog treat! You have made my job easier and doggie faces cuter during a photo session.

A new lens always means that Rusty and Sophie have to put on their best faces for the camera. I am so excited that I am now the proud owner of an 85mm Canon lens! It's dreamy.
