My Mom's Vacation

So my mom just recently came to San Diego for a vacation. We went for the obligatory pedicure which she loves because it's so much more affordable here. She checked out a few of our softball games and even managed to make it to a Padres game. The schedule was pretty packed for the whole week but we squeezed in some quality time for the traditional "mom pics" I always shoot for her. I love you mom. I wish you lived here so I could come to your house whenever I want. I will miss you but I'm glad we had a chance to spend some time together.

At the beginning of August I shot a wedding and my wonderful boyfriend came to help out. He's such a great assistant. The wedding was on a Friday so he rushed home from work just to help me. Thank you Jesse for supporting me and believing in me. Oh and thank you for holding the reflector! Ha ha! Enjoy this picture I took of Jesse during the shoot.

Joy Ran a Half Marathon!

Last Sunday our good friend Joy ran a half marathon. Joy's friend Heather came in from Colorado to run with her as well. Jesse, myself, and a few of our friends waited at the finish line to cheer the girls on as they crossed. I have to admit I got a little teary eyed as my friend crossed that finish line. We are so proud of you Joy! What you did was truly amazing! Congratulations Joy and Heather. You girls rock!

Look Who's Here!

So now that my brother is finally here so is his dog, Delia. She's a very sweet girl and Rusty knows here well and doesn't mind at all that she's here. Naturally, I had to take a few pictures of her for my blog. I'm sure Dave will have a good laugh when he sees these. He always laughs at the pictures I take of Delia. I hope that's a good thing! We need a scooter!

Jesse and I have been talking for several months about how great it would be if we owned a scooter. Ever since the untimely death of my wonderful Honda, we have been sharing a car. I love Jesse's XTerra but it is quite a gas guzzler. We both agree that if we had a scooter we could save money on gas and be just a little friendlier to the environment.

Today we went to one of the local scooter stores. They've been in business for 16 years! Wow! The salesmen was so friendly and gave us a lot of information on scooters. We even got to sit on a few of them. Unfortunately, we didn't get to test drive any because they are completely sold out of models for testing. The demand for these little vehicles is quite high right now.

I've already got my helmet picked out, it's pink! Now we just need to start saving or raising some money for one. Does anyone have any ideas or want to make a donation? Seriously! Help!

Exciting Changes

I've been looking forward to the month of August ever since my brother Dave said he was moving back to San Diego. I guess I didn't realize how much I've been missing my family until the few that I had here left.

Dave is going to be staying with Jesse and I in our spare bedroom. Well, it's not much of a bedroom yet but I'm hoping to have it all in order by the time he gets here. We just bought a new computer desk to make room for a bed in there. Much more exciting for me than Jesse.

I hope he likes it with us. I know it's not permanent but I still think he deserves to feel at home. I can't wait to see you Dave!
